Got Engaged at Christmas? Now What?

Here's the Blog you didn't know was going to answer all your wedding questions! 

First! When you get Engaged, you tell all the important people in your life!

Then you decide who is paying for the wedding? Have to speak with those people to set the budget.  Now you have to budget! Figure out what kind of wedding you want, how big, location, and what are the 3 most important aspects of the wedding you want to spend the bulk of the budget on.

Now you have to do your research!

Research venues, wedding attire, bakers, catering, dj's, videographers, photographers, bartenders, and a coordinator to help you figure it all out.

First and foremost, you have to book your wedding venue!!! That is MOST important, BECAUSE you need the actual wedding date to do all the other things.

Wedding dresses could take up to 8 months to arrive after you order, plus you will need alterations so those need time too.  Brides Magazine suggests ordering your wedding dress 8-12 months out from your wedding date.  So if your wedding is in September you should come in and visit us NOW so you have the most options.  If you do not have that much time, we have other options but it is a little more limited.  We always have a discontinued dress rack that you can purchase sale wedding dresses and take immediately also.

Then about a month after your appointment you will want to order bridesmaid dresses (they take 4 months to arrive), and mother's dresses (also 4 months). Next is your tuxedos (make sure to order early if it is a busy wedding month). Then flower girl dress is ordered about 6 weeks out from the wedding date. Most of these are the average, sometimes if you can be flexible you can get things earlier but you cannot be firm in color and style.

Once you have your wedding attire the other things just fall into place!
